on the road to montréal
deer feed
on highway grass
bald
eagles sit in their nest
sun sets
on moose
mountain
and wind turbines
golden
with molten fire
and
suspended volcanic ash
i sit
inside inter-city bus
enroute to
humanities congress
to
support armatureless
newbie
body pedagogical
and i am
polishing
my
teaching stool
as if it
can glow like marble
or a
bronze sculpture
kept
inside away
from
earth weather
or
seriously grave pull
of coming
full moon
