National Poetry Month : Claire Marie Stancek,

moon                   room

and the doctor put in                  his thumb
bread and honey                   pie when I
was opened the birds                shall have a plum and you
owe me five shillings            for want of a nail

never mind baby                       mother is by
the man                             in the moon looked out of the room
counting one two the shoe      was lost and all for
want of a good boy              am I

and pulled out                   a baby
dance up high                        you shall fly
away fly away                     your crazies clap
clap crept                              under a frying pan

a kingdom a plum          dance little baby
your counting house           is on fire
