This is a night to celebrate the fine poetry of John Newlove, a poet who lived in Ottawa for the last twenty years of his life. We are also celebrating
Bywords.ca, which is in its 12th year, all the volunteers, contributors, readers, event organizers and others who ensure that the site provides poetry and information to help residents of Ottawa and environs to be part of our city's rich literary culture.

John Newlove (1938-2003) was an award-winning Saskatchewan poet who spent his last years in the City of Ottawa. In 2007, Chaudiere Books published
