The I.V. went interstitial and let
the swelling commence! great gross-handled
balloon arm a latex sausage and the sausage
squeaks speakily,
“an outside rage
inhabits a bed rider.
salami or cylinder
knows not what’s charted
but reads
aerial poetry
in a squeak stentorian
for all
its pitchedness.”The engorging drip eludes
the channel. estuaries
overspill. shorebirds pipe
fluent flutes: “how lucky
to be alive.” needleflies
buzz after Jesus bugs.
the sound is of grinding.“outside of age
a bed is ridden.
sausage is meat of manufacture.
among the reeds
a simple quacking expresses
all necessary sentiment.
that which is true in this moment
is true in all mirrors.
it is the nature of a surface
to be wet.”
