Teens climb the okotok. Their voices roost like bats in the fissure. From sea to mountain, mountain to plain, translation is the norm. Soldiers patrol the left bank of the Dniester. In deep time, neither home nor land are.
Kyle Flemmer is a writer, publisher, and digital media artist from Calgary in Treaty 7 territory. He founded The Blasted Tree Publishing Co. in 2014 and his first book, Barcode Poetry, was published in 2021.
