Flickering
fireflies
expose
walls and sheets
and
your negative skin
as
my evening hands
decline
–
But no,
it’s
only by the glow
of
the optical sensors
on
the smartwatches
ringing
our wrists
that
we’re lit. State
of
the art, they take
the
measure
of
blood, the green pulse
of
another
spring
– of daffodils
all
over
all
over again.
